We’re pleased to announce that a new set of grants is now open for the IFLA World Library and Information Congress 2026 (WLIC 2026).

These grants support library and information professionals from a wide range of backgrounds to participate in IFLA’s flagship global conference in Busan, South Korea.

The 2026 Grant opportunities include:

  • IFLA Emerging Leaders Grants

    Designed to support individuals with strong leadership potential, helping them expand their professional horizons, raise their profile, and contribute meaningfully to IFLA’s strategic goals.
  • Discovery grants

Available to professionals from IFLA member institutions and other membership categories.

Supporting five professionals from Pacific countries (excluding Australia and New Zealand) to attend WLIC 2026.

Awarded to one delegate from a UN-designated least developed country to attend the Congress.

Offering 10 grants to support young professionals attending the Congress.
