Opened in 2020 in Deokpo-dong, Sasang-gu with six floors (B2–4F), Busan Metropolitan Library serves as the regional central library overseeing public libraries and reading initiatives across the city. It operates an integrated online library platform and provides a creative environment where everyone can freely explore knowledge and culture.

As a multipurpose cultural complex, the library features diverse spaces including the General Collection, Children’s Commons, Digital Commons, and a Book Café, alongside cultural facilities like Modeul-rak Theater and Busanae Garden.
