Since its opening in 1996, Geumjeong Library has been a leading public library in Geumjeong-gu for nearly three decades, supporting the intellectual growth of local residents with approximately 250,000 items. Going beyond traditional circulation services, it offers tailored educational programs for each life stage and works to strengthen digital literacy. Reflecting the area’s strong ties with universities and research institutions, it actively collaborates with these partners to meet the community’s high demand for knowledge and learning.

The library has also been designated as a specialized library for multicultural resources, providing materials in 11 languages—including English, Chinese, Japanese, and Russian—and supporting the learning and social integration of multicultural families. In August 2025, it opened “Deullak Nallak,” the first children’s cultural space in a public library in Geumjeong-gu, helping to improve satisfaction among families with infants and children.
